SUNSET COUNTRY

Well our trip to Ontario Canada was simply amazing. The Northwestern part of Ontario often referred to as Sunset Country did not disappoint evident by the photos below. This was my 7th trip and it never has let me down.

We were on a 5 day fly in and the first day the weather really sucked and we could not even get out. The second day started out the same but quickly turned sunny and beautiful. For the rest of the week we had awesome weather and so was the fishing. Hence why you can never take just a 3 day trip. A 5 day is a must weather can always be a factor.

4 out of 6 of us landed pike over 40 inches. And we slayed the walleye. I personally averaged 12-24 walleyes per 2 hours of fishing every evening. We spent the day chasing giant pike in the shallows sunning themselves everyday.

My buddies Ken, Scott, Mike, Brain and Tom had a blast and we can't wait to go back next year. If you never have never experienced a fly in trip to Canada put it on the bucket list. Trust me you will get spoiled and want to go every year. It took me a week just to try and get back to normal after coming home.

The sights, fishing and views were simply amazing. I thank my wife and my GOD for allowing me to experience it. Not to mention a great group of guys that I call my friends. And we can't forget our camp attendant Tomahawk John. That's another story for another day. Let's just say John will never forget this Birthday in 2014 when the boyz from the Mitten state came to town.

I'm truly blessed. Life is what you make of it. You control your own destiny GO FISH=LIVE!

Below are photos of trip, Fish'Isms and a cool snorkel Steelhead video.

I leave you with this.

"When I admire the wonder of a sunset, or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in worship of the creator"
